# Warranty Every OffGrid Operator kit is assembled, programmed, and bench tested by hand before it ships. If something we built fails because of how we built it, we fix it. That commitment does not expire. What is covered Your kit carries a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a node, enclosure, connector, antenna, or internal component fails in normal use because of a manufacturing or material defect, we repair or replace it. There is no registration step and no time limit. What is not covered Water damage on kits that are not specified as waterproof. Check your configuration before taking a non waterproof kit into weather it was not built for. Cracked EUD screens. The Android device is a consumer handset and its screen is treated as a consumer handset screen. Damage from misuse, modification, disassembly, or operation outside the equipment's authorized parameters. Normal cosmetic wear from field use. Scuffs on a case mean the kit is doing its job. How to make a claim Email support@offgrid-operator.com with your order number, a description of the failure, and photographs or a short video if the problem is visible. Tell us what the LEDs are doing and what the Meshtastic connection indicator shows, since that often identifies the fault before anything ships anywhere. Many failures turn out to be configuration or pairing issues that we can resolve by email in a few minutes. If the hardware genuinely needs to come back, we will arrange it. Warranty and returns are different things The 30 day return window in our Refund Policy covers changing your mind. This warranty covers defects, and it has no deadline. A kit that fails two years from now is a warranty matter, not a late return. Third party components The Android EUD carries its own manufacturer warranty in addition to this one. Software provided by third party projects, including ATAK and Meshtastic, is covered by those projects' own terms rather than by this warranty.
